About Us

Welcome to ELLementary Exchange. We are Kim Wojehowski and Jamie Moran, educators committed to working with students, teachers, specialists, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families to ensure English Language Learners (ELLs) thrive within our schools and communities.

Our mission is to interpret language research and theory into relevant, applicable resources for educators. We aim to renovate classroom instruction by repurposing everyday lessons and materials to facilitate language acquisition and accelerate the literacy growth of young English Language Learners.

We want to connect with others who work with ELLs to exchange ideas, insights, and lessons plans, and to voice questions and concerns about our teaching practice and our students. We encourage our guests to share research and resources they find along the way. Although we have many years of teaching experience between us, our students challenge us to grow and learn as educators every day.

When visiting our blog we hope you will take a few moments to comment on the plans and resources available to you. Contact us at ellementaryexchange@gmail.com with questions and opinions about any content we post. Feel free to share what you have learned.
